Kairos Dwelling, a short-term palliative care home for the terminally ill, offers residence up to four people with irreversible illnesses who have been determined to be within the last three months of their lives.
We do this through the caring partnership with hospice organizations in the surrounding area. The individual is screened and accepted as a hospice patient before being accepted at Kairos Dwelling.
Requests or inquiries for admission may come from an individual, family member, physician, hospital, hospice or community resource. The individual must also have a signed Do Not Resuscitate (DNR) directive.
At Kairos we provide, at no charge:
24-hour caregivers
A private room
A peaceful home environment
